To ruminate on positivism or to transform the pedagogical-teaching practice

Abstract

This article reflects on the criticisms often made to the traditional educational system from the perspective of rhetoric (of discourse), but little is done from the perspective of the pedagogicalteaching practice. For the author, the fall of the current education system is not the responsibility of the government, of educational laws and reforms, or of the moribund state of central elements such as curriculum or assessment, but it is the responsibility of senseless pedagogical-teaching practices, of the conception we have about education, of criticizing by ruminating on the past and doing nothing to change. Rather, the article invites to change and transform the pedagogical-teaching practice imparting the class differently.
