Abstract
<p>The development of critical thinking is fundamental for primary school students to understand the society they live in; in the educational experience presented here, it is related to the teaching of history through narratives and socially relevant problems. Students of the Primary Educa-tion degree program at the Universidad de Alicante, as future teachers, carried out a work, based on creativity and research, to realize their own narrative on one of the so-cially relevant topics proposed. The results showed that research on this type of social problems was satisfactory and that elabora-ting the narrative allowed students to crea-te new didactic resources to work with in primary education.</p>
