Training teachers to teach in contexts of diversity: Dialogues between research and university extension

Abstract

Acknowledging the limited pedagogic, didactic, and curricular production addressing teaching in rural multigrade classrooms, numerous research projects have been developed at the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences of the National University of La Plata to explore this subject. This research has been further enriched by engaging with the perspective of inclusive education. In 2023, this line of work expanded its scope through a project and an extension course entitled "Rural Education: A Perspective from Teacher Training," involving educators, students, and rural teachers. In these pages, we will refer to the latest stage of this journey, highlighting the power of the dialogue between research and extension.
