Reading and Writing for Research in Higher Education: a Process

Abstract

College activity is known for the permanent elaboration of academic documents. Unfortunately, students lack the reading and writing skills required for investigation, which has an effect on academic quality. Those skills are developed through a process that the student should take to college, but their shortcomings manifest in the lack of foundations and practices such as reading, writing and research approach strategy. The reasons are many, but a new concept of an innovative teaching practice will only be generated if the school develops a research attitude through specific tools, such as reading, writing and teachers motivated with and by research, thus making up for those shortcomings in the future. The paper’s invitation includes, among other things, developing scientific skills, reading science as you do a literature book and making drafts during a process that goes from primary school and all the way through college.
