Abstract
Taking this paper aims to make a general presentation of aspects related to this subject. Furthermore, the evolution of the ‘attitude’ concept and the ways attitudes are classified are described in the article, and the different tools used to measure it are also mentioned, together with its advantages and difficulties. The results of certain researches in this field are also synthesized and, by way of conclusion, a reflection is made on the role that the schools and teachers, particularly science teachers, would play in the development of attitudes considered as positive towards science.
