Contributions of Psychopedagogy to a New Urban Catechesis

Abstract

In the current scenario of postmodernism, research in Science Education and psychopedagogy can shed new light to the evangelizing work of the Church, particularly catechesis. This communication will assume the see, judge and act method adopted by the Conference of Bishops gathered at Aparecida. Proposals arising in this work consider the subjects of catechetical dynamics (catechist-catechumen) with an urban profile. Some sociological studies and work alternatives are shared with every catechetical profile, but other approaches are limited to the reality of the city. The issue about the urban appears as one of the areopagus against the catechetical challenge encouraging to better appreciate the opportunities for dialogue between faith and science, even in the media.
