Abstract
This article is the result of the qualitative-ethnographic research entitled “Strategies for reading monster tales to promote management of fear in primary school children”, whose aim was to seek a teaching strategy that would respond to the proposed research problem. To achieve this, four phases were established: 1) formulation and development of a preliminary research proposal; 2) instrument design and data collection; 3) methodological design to analyze the information collected; and 4) interpretation of the information in order to formulate a proposal regarding our initial goal. This paper invites teachers to get familiar with monster tales and to include them in their teaching practices to promote the management of fear in primary school children.
