Abstract

The purpose of this investigation is to make a state of the art of research on the relationship between children’s literature and the teaching-learning process, in order to highlight the most valuable contributions of these studies and generate the possibility of creating new perspectives and lines of research. A mixed approach was used on the state of the art in order to address and analyze the studied documents. The research analyzed made it possible to identify that the most relevant trends are the implementation of teaching strategies based on children's literature to develop literacy processes in students, using literature to promote skill development in children, and literature as a mechanism of value-based education.
