Abstract
<p>This research aimed to promote reading and writing processes in a public institution, using scientific thinking skills. An educational classroom project was proposed for seventh-grade students with the purpose of developing in them thought processes through scientific skills as an integrating field between natural sciences, reading comprehension, and textual production, in response to the low levels achieved by this educational institution in the Saber tests in the last five years. The qualitative methodology used allowed approaching contextual reality through reflections on pedagogical practices.</p>
