Abstract
This article talks about what a research teacher is, the imaginaries that surround it, the principles that regulate it and the life experiences related to it. In this sense, the paper deals with the following general subjects: 1) the source of the text, 2) the “research teacher” category, 3) the theoretical background, 4) the research teacher’s possibilities and risks, and 5) the future perspectives of the research teacher’s job. The article is mostly written from the author’s experience and theoretical education, as she has lived in and done research on several regions of Latin America.
