Critical Teaching of the Emotions of Shame and Compassion in Boys and Girls in Forced Displacement Situations: A Study from the Perspective of Human Capabilities

Abstract

The project arises due to the circumstances affecting the school as a result of the internal Colombian conflict. In this regard, forced displacement is one of the most prevalent situations at school. The capability approach proposed by Martha Nussbaum shed a light on the need to address, from a pedagogical point of view, the vulnerabilities of boys and girls who are part of the displaced population. The commitment is to enable the development of infants, starting from the human capacity for emotion, as a condition that allows the exercise of human rights. Critical education, proposed by Martin Rodriguez Rojo, became the strategy in research that made it possible to identify the manifestations of shame and compassion
