Abstract
<p>This article presents the results of an investigation aimed at analyzing the conceptions of young people from rap and reggaeton subcultures about the virtue of fortitude. These young people struggle for identity and recognition, and this struggle has allowed them to develop attitudes of resistance to deal with exclusion and rejection. The methodology used was qualitative analysis based on case studies. The research techniques used were semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and artistic production. One of the main findings, among others, was that young people from rap and reggaeton subcultures express the virtue of fortitude through their cultural manifestations.</p>
