Abstract
The secularization process, in its multiple dimensions, necessarily leads to a detailed analysis of pastoral practices and options, due to influx and the strong impact it exercises on them. The reactions and the pastoral implications of this process are also varied: some are considered positive, and others negative. From a positive evaluation, the “internal secularization”, unlike the “sectoral secularization” is considered to be an opportunity and a call to recognize and address the main contributions of this process, assimilating them internally in such a way as to allow the redesign of a pastoral practice more consistent with the Gospel and with today’s world.
