Hospitalized children: agents of well-being in caring communities
This article presents research conducted in Brazil at the interface between education and health, questioning the experiences lived and narrated by children between the ages of 6 and 12 who were hospitalized for chronic diseases. It discusses the epistemological void regarding this theme and what the (auto)biographical narrative paradigm proposes. It focuses on the agency of the children participating in the research, who, beyond the accuracy of their interpretations, demonstrate the ability to create collaborative networks and act in accordance with good living and an ethic of care for themselves and others in the hospital community.
