The Role Of Jordanian Universities In Developing Vocational And Technical Education From The Point Of View Of Faculty Members

Abstract

Objectives: The study aimed to identify the role of Al-Balqa Applied University  in developing vocational education from the point of view of faculty members, and its relationship to some variables such as gender, academic degree, and practical experience.

Methodology: To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used, in addition to using a questionnaire consisting of (24) items as a tool for the study, which was applied to a sample of (100) faculty members at Al-Balqa Applied University in the first semester of the academic year (2022/ 2023).

Results: The results of the study showed that the role of universities in developing vocational education was moderate on the study instrument as a whole. In addition, there are statistically significant differences in the role of Al-Balqa Applied University in developing vocational education from the point of view of faculty members, which is attributed to the gender variable in favor of males and the years of experience variable in the field of vocational education. In favor of those with more than 10 years of experience; The study also found that there were no statistically significant differences in the role of Al-Balqa Applied University in developing vocational education from the point of view of faculty members due to the variable of the academic degree of faculty members.
