Abstract

The investigation focused on identifying communication strategies among the teacher population that favor the teaching-learning process, based on the Saber test scores. To that end, communication among teachers from different public schools whose students stood out in the aforementioned tests was analyzed. This involves a focus on communication, on the construction of knowledge and the same way of transmitting and appropriating knowledge in the processes taking place inside the classroom. The question that was formulated and which accounts for one of the macro categories of research is: How is the verbal communication of Spanish teachers characterized in the interaction with fifth grade students inside the classroom? The research was developed from a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach. Data was collected in the first place from an observation matrix integrating the oral and written discourse of both teachers and students, with their corresponding audiovisual recordings. This work allowed a more comprehensive approach to the reality of the classroom in Bogota schools.
