Abstract

This project consisted of an educational research-action on the inclusion of a pre-adolescent with Asperger’s syndrome in a regular classroom. Different teaching strategies were designed to fulfill this objective. To this end, several tools were adapted, among them, collaborative work with a design of group activities for students and teachers, as well as integration between institutional entities and the family as primary context of the student. The implementation of these strategies sought to recognize the student’s abilities within the group, so that, in this way, he could become an active part of the group. Different activities were implemented that improved the student’s social skills in other contexts, such as family and academy. The end result of this project is the design of innovative strategies based on the student’s attitudes, which were evidenced in the development of academic activities and active participation within the group.
